WHO WE ARE
Welcome to DSA Oshkosh! We are the Oshkosh, Wisconsin affiliate of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).
The Democratic Socialists of America is the largest and fastest-growing socialist organization in the United States. We believe that working class should run both the economy and society democratically to meet human needs, not to make profits for a few.
We are a political and activist organization, not a party; through campus and community-based chapters, DSA members use a variety of tactics, from legislative to direct action, to fight for reforms that empower working people.
With over 240 local chapters and 94,000 members, we believe in community control and collective ownership of all aspects of society, and we show our commitment to this principle by being an organization of, by, and for the working class.
Working jointly with other Wisconsin DSA chapters in Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, and more, we aim to promote and create a worker-run economy and society driven by the everyday needs of Wisconsinites instead of being controlled by the ruling class concerned with nothing but profit.

DSA Oshkosh aims to bring together community members in the pursuit of a better city, state, country, and planet. It all starts somewhere, and with someone.
This is done through spreading awareness, building connections and relationships, and making our voices heard and understood through organization and mobilization. Through campus and community-based chapters, DSA members use a variety of tactics, from legislative to direct action, to fight for reforms that empower working people.
The power is in the hands of people, we only need to choose to act!
